Know What the Film Can and Cannot Do.

The same answers you would get in person, including what the film cannot do.

Can the film stop every rock?

No. No film makes glass damage-proof, and a severe or sharp impact can still crack the windshield. The film exists to take the routine sand, grit, and smaller impacts that pit and chip glass over time.

What happens when the film itself gets chipped or worn?

That is the film doing its job. Damaged film is removed and a new layer is installed. Replacement is quoted at the shop for your vehicle.

Will I see the film while driving?

Geist is a clear film installed on the outside of the glass. At the consultation the installer walks you through exactly where the film starts and ends on your windshield.

Is this the same as windshield tint?

No. They are two different products. Tint goes on the interior surface and changes light, heat, and appearance. Geist goes on the exterior surface, there to take impact and wear. Windshield tint installations are offered in Air Ceramic and Ceramic i3 only.

Does Life Happens cover Autobahn Geist?

Autobahn Geist includes $200 Life Happens replacement coverage toward replacing the film. That is coverage on the windshield film itself. Life Happens on automotive tint is separate coverage on the installed tint. Ask at the consultation which terms apply to your vehicle.
